Rocket Trac (TM) uses the iPhones unique combination of capabilities to create an easy-to-use application that measures the altitude of a given flight of a model rocket.
By providing the distance you are from the launch point and then following the flight of the rocket with either the camera or a user supplied reticule, Rocket Trac uses the accelerometer of the iPhone to record your rocket altitude vs time and providing you with an interactive plot of the flight-track.
Rocket Trac also uses the iPhone location awareness to record you latitude and longitude. Rocket Trac also provides for user entry of data such as engine size, rocket name, wind, temperature, etc.
Once all of the data is recorded and entered Rocket Trac allows you to e-mail all of the data to allow for long-term storage or other analysis.
Rocket Trac also maintains a list of flights until you delete them.
The current version assumes a strictly vertical flight.
